More than a year since I started my new position as an Assistant Professor (yeah!), and almost two years since I updated my C.V. (sadly, not too much to add).
But more importantly, I’ve come to realize why so many of my colleagues stopped updating their personal homepages after getting on more permanent positions. First and foremost, life become super busy with new obligations and adopting to a new life, but also there is a lot of pressure to remain silent.
I cannot say how much I will follow that trends of being (forced to be?) silent. I do want to share more, but it is challenging because being a professor is, probably like most professions, such a unique world that warrants more exposure to the world, but also under the pressure to maintain confidentiality.
But let’s see. With my posting this, maybe I am finally settling down a little bit.
