Due to the kind support and organization of Sixiang Wang, David Porter and Devin Fitzgerald, I am now part of a 10 week zoom Manchu study group.
It’s my second attempt on trying to learn Manchu. And in spite of having learned multiple languages – Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Persian, Arabic, and German – I still don’t have a great way / tip / overall structure on learning a new language.
So for this time, I’m running my own few experiments to see how things work. Like;
- More focus on memorization, less focus on “making sense” of the language.
- Going all in on anki (http://ichi2.net/anki/)
- Trying to enjoy learning a new language
Not sure how this will work out, but I will probably return to review on how it went.
